Family-run kitchen makers in Rooskey, Co. Roscommon · Est. 1996
Thirty years ago, Pauric Feeney set up a kitchen workshop in Rooskey. It’s still here, still family-run — just busier.
In 1996, Pauric Feeney began making kitchens in Rooskey, a village on the banks of the Shannon where three counties meet. The plan was never complicated: build kitchens properly, price them honestly, and treat every job — big or small — as if the neighbours were watching. In a village, of course, they usually were.
Word travelled the way it does around here. First the surrounding townlands, then Carrick-on-Shannon, Longford and Athlone; before long, Rooskey kitchens were being fitted the length of the country. The reputation was built on the same things we’d still name today: attention to detail, first-class materials, and installation by our own skilled cabinet makers.
Today the second generation of the Feeney family works in the business, alongside the team of makers and fitters who’ve been part of Rooskey Kitchens for years. Some things have changed — the machinery is sharper, the colour palette runs to thirty-two shades and beyond, the designs are drawn in 3D. The important things haven’t. Every kitchen is still measured, made and minded by people whose name is over the door.
Our doors come from Uform, makers of the STORI collection — a family firm founded in 1993 in Toomebridge, Co. Antrim, and now one of these islands’ leading door manufacturers, with over 350 people, FSC, FIRA and CATAS-approved products, and the industry’s largest painting capacity. It’s a partnership of like minds: two family companies, three decades each, one standard. Between their collection and our workshop, we can put over thirty ranges, 32+ paint colours, bespoke colour-matching and 5 and 15-year product warranties behind every kitchen we make.
Alongside our work for homeowners, Rooskey Kitchens has spent decades supplying Ireland’s leading main contractors — including Bennett Construction — fitting out phased housing developments that run to hundreds of homes. Contractors come back for the same reasons homeowners recommend us: we hit programme, we hold spec, and we stand over the work.
First-class materials, precise machining in our own workshop, and fitters who sweat the last millimetre.
