J-handle, rail or true handleless?
There are three honest ways to lose the handles. A J-handle, as on Strada, machines the grip into the top edge of the door itself — nothing added, nothing to catch a hip. A handleless rail, used with Zola, sets a slim aluminium channel behind the door edge; paint it to match for a seamless run or contrast it as a detail. And a true handleless door opens on a recessed grip, for the purest front of all.
Finish is the other half of the decision. Gloss throws light around a room and suits paler shades; matt and soft-matte forgive fingerprints and flatter deeper colours. Both clean with a soft cloth and mild soap — no abrasives, ever.
Three things people ask us.
Does gloss scratch easily?
A high-gloss finish shows marks more readily than matte, but it’s a tough surface — the trick is care rather than caution: a soft cloth, a mild soap solution and no abrasives. If your household is hard on doors, a soft-matte or matt finish is more forgiving and looks just as sharp.
What’s a handleless rail?
It’s a slim aluminium rail set behind the door edge that gives you something to pull without a handle on the front. We can paint it to match the doors for a seamless run, or leave it contrasting as a design detail. Zola ranges take a rail; Strada has the grip built into the door as a J-handle.
Can I mix modern doors with wood?
Yes — it’s the pairing we specify most. An oak run in Tavola, Rezana or Versa warms up a painted or gloss kitchen, and the AluFlute fluted-glass door lifts either. We’ll balance the finishes so the room reads calm rather than busy.
